RGHS in brief
RGHS provides cashless medical facilities to eligible Rajasthan government employees, pensioners and their dependent family members at empanelled hospitals, diagnostic centres and pharmacies. The Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency (RSHAA) administers the scheme, including empanelment and audits.
Getting empanelled
Eligibility and documents are set by RSHAA's current empanelment guidelines, so we work from the latest notification rather than old checklists. In general, hospitals need:
- Registration under Rajasthan's clinical establishments law and all statutory licences in date
- Specialty-wise doctor, nursing and technical staff details with registrations
- Infrastructure, equipment, ICU and OT details as relevant to the specialties sought
- Accreditation certificates where held — accredited hospitals are better placed for higher-value packages
- Bank, tax and ownership documents and the undertakings RSHAA prescribes
Staying empanelled: compliance matters now
In July 2026 RSHAA suspended 51 empanelled hospitals after audits found irregularities such as duplicated documents, excessive investigations, unbundling of packaged procedures, missing mandatory documents and OPD patients converted into IPD admissions. Reported penalties ran to about ₹3 crore.
The safest protection is a hospital that documents care the way NABH expects: a clear admission decision, investigation orders justified in the notes, procedures billed as packaged, and complete files for every claim. Our NABH work and empanelment work reinforce each other for exactly this reason.
