Why Rajasthan hospitals are acting on NABH now
- RGHS and MAA Yojana audits. The Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency (RSHAA) runs both the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme for state employees and pensioners and the MAA Yojana. In July 2026 it suspended 51 RGHS-empanelled hospitals after audits found duplicated documents, unbundled procedures, missing records and other irregularities, with reported penalties of about ₹3 crore. Records kept the way NABH expects are the best protection; see RGHS empanelment.
- MAA Yojana is growing. Medical Dialogues reported in March 2026 that the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya (MAA) Yojana offers cashless treatment worth up to ₹25 lakh, is integrated with AB-PMJAY, and that its empanelled hospitals rose from 1,761 to 1,945.
- CGHS Jaipur renewals. In the CGHS Jaipur empanelment order of 17 August 2026, almost every hospital held NABH, and several certificates fall due for renewal in 2026. A hospital whose certificate lapses risks being paid at the lower non-NABH rate.
- The CGHS rate gap. Since 13 October 2025, CGHS pays facilities without NABH 15% less than the NABH base rate. Our CGHS analysis shows what that costs.

Licences first
NABH assessors check every statutory approval before they look at your quality systems. In Rajasthan that usually means clinical establishment registration under the central Act, which the state has adopted; a fire NOC; biomedical waste authorisation from the State Pollution Control Board; AERB registration for X-ray and CT; PC-PNDT registration for ultrasound; and a drug licence. We audit these first, so an expired licence never stops your application.

Frequently asked questions
Do you provide NABH consultancy in Jaipur?
Yes. We are based in Sadulpur (Churu) and work across Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, Sikar and Jhunjhunu. The gap analysis, staff training and mock assessment are done on site, and documents and indicator reviews are supported remotely in between.
Is NABH mandatory for hospitals in Rajasthan?
No general law makes NABH mandatory for private hospitals in Rajasthan. Payment schemes set their own rules: under CGHS, facilities without NABH are paid 15% less than the NABH rate, and RSHAA sets the empanelment criteria for RGHS and MAA Yojana in its current guidelines.
Which clinical establishments law applies in Rajasthan?
Rajasthan is among the states that adopted the central Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010. Registration usually goes through the health department and the district registering authority, and NABH assessors check it along with your other licences.
How long does NABH take for a small hospital in Rajasthan?
NABH requires three months of implementation before you apply. Small facilities usually reach entry-level certification in 4 to 6 months, and SHCO accreditation in 6 to 9 months.
Do you work with Ayurveda and Panchakarma centres in Rajasthan?
Yes. AYUSH accreditation is one of our specialities, covering Panchakarma clinic accreditation, entry-level AYUSH certification and full AYUSH hospital accreditation. One of our clients is a Panchakarma centre in Udaipur.
